Alex loves to cook! His favorites are shark and ice cream, for pretend (as he likes to say). But he does really help out cooking dinner- he loves to help make meatballs and burgers, a very hands-on process. And he loves to dress the part!

I know he’s probably really not teething yet, but, oh the drool! And the gnawing!
And I swear I see two little bumps on the bottom gums, but…he’s only 3 1/2 months old, for cryin’ out loud! He’ll probably be just like his big bro and not get teeth till he’s 7 months, and just keep drooling away. Oh well! Until then, I’ll just be his chew toy. ![]()
A week ago we decided to take Alex’s training wheels off, but had a less than successful first attempt at getting Alex to ride. He did try, and while did succeed in riding a bit at a time, he didn’t really realize it. Yesterday, however, Alex did a great job riding, and we managed to catch a bit of it on video before the camera’s battery died. He’s very excited at being a bike rider now.

Aaron is 3 months already (ok, he’s 2 days shy, but we had his 3-month well-visit today). He is now 13 lbs. 6 1/2 oz. and 24 1/4 inches- 50% for everything.
BUT, he’s a 1/4 of an inch bigger than Alex was at 3 months…. I’m going to be a midget in a land of giants.
OH, and he learned how to roll from his tummy to his back, which actually stinks b/c when he wakes in the middle of the night, instead of getting himself back to sleep, he rolls over and can’t roll back. He looks like a turtle, with all limbs flailing in the air. It’s very amusing.
Ok, so he’s not quite 2 months, but since we’ll be in FL when he is, we went for his check-up today. He is 22 1/2 inches and 10 lbs. 11 3/4 oz. I swear, I thought he was going to weigh more than that! That puts him at 50% for length and 45% for weight—completely average.
Tho, I expect very soon he will be joining his big brother in the realm of “off-the-charts” for height.
I managed to catch some video of Christina playing with Aaron the other day, he was giving us some good smiles. Just a reminder, at the bottom of the page there’s a screen that will let you see all the videos in one place, you won’t even leave the page. The images on the left will send you over to vimeo.com, though.

I’ve been trying to improve this blog for a while now, and the recent software upgrade to Wordpress gave me the excuse I needed. It really shouldn’t feel altogether that different than before, but basically nothing is the same as it was. The idea here is to make it easier for Christina and I to update this thing more regularly, especially now that I’ve settled on a solution for video as well. Just for fun, here’s a not-so-new pic that our new gallery plugin is letting me post inline:

Been a while, but we’ve finally got some new pictures up. Check out the gallery to take a look.
We just got back from a trip to Big Bear Lake, did some snowboarding and spent some time with family in a cabin we rented. Alex had his first experiences with snow, went tubing and had his first snowball fight. Everyone had a great time, and we’ve got the pictures online to prove it. There’s a new link to the gallery on the right, just click “Gallery” and you’ll be there.
