Maintenence

I’ve been trying to improve this blog for a while now, and the recent software upgrade to Wordpress gave me the excuse I needed. It really shouldn’t feel altogether that different than before, but basically nothing is the same as it was. The idea here is to make it easier for Christina and I to update this thing more regularly, especially now that I’ve settled on a solution for video as well. Just for fun, here’s a not-so-new pic that our new gallery plugin is letting me post inline:

So I found a better gallery plugin for wordpress (the blog software this site is based on) that seems to be much better than the one we were using. I’ve installed it and have it working, but the link for gallery has changed, and might change again in the future as I get things working better on this side. In the meantime, here’s a direct link to the new gallery.

The old link will still work, I’m too lazy to actually remove it quite yet, and there’s some new pictures of Alex with his new car bed in there.

We’ve gotten a bunch of new pictures up from last weekend, it was great to be back in Florida and with family and friends. Still haven’t gotten everything on the site the way we want it, but at least the pictures are available. http://alex.porudominsky.com/gallery.php is the link to our gallery page, but we’ve been having some trouble with flickr, the photo service we’re using to host the pictures, so if you run into an error message on the gallery page, you can still get to the images by clicking one of the pictures on the right column. Enjoy!

So I finally got the gallery page working, and it was a struggle. Unfortunately I haven’t gotten around to adding the link, so until I do, just use:

Drying off

First image we put up on Flickr, more to come. It’s a cute one, but right now we’re still just getting things set up.

We’re just getting the blog off the ground and rolling. Obviously this is going to be a place for all things Alex related, and a way to publish his latest. Design is going to be pretty fluid for a while, and we should be starting to post pictures and video soon.
